We have some fabulous courses within 45 minutes max of the cottage. The owners frequently have friends to play a 4 day bucket and spade tour twice a year. - so do try them out!
Aldeburgh Golf Club Top 100 UK Course
A wonderful top 100 course situated 5 minutes from the cottage. It also has a lovely 9 hole course alongside the River Alde which is great for high handicappers

Thorpeness Golf Club ( Top 100 golf course - England) My favourite local course with some iconic holes including the 18th with its view of The House in th Clouds
golf course architect James Braid.
The
Par 70, 18 hole championship golf course is just a stones throw from the sea on the Suffolk coast and its challenging 6,421 yard course will test golfers of all
abilities.
A delightful links course in the top 100 ( England) list just north of Felixstowe with beautiful views, challenging holes and really friendly staff. A must for our visiting golfers.
Ipswich Golf Club ( Purdis Heath)
Another gem in the England top 100 list and a challenging test of golf. This course has just had a major refurbishment and is really worth a visit.
An England top 100 course. 27 holes of golf on two of Suffolk’s finest heathland courses. The Heath Course is a serious golfer’s challenge requiring a CONGU handicap certificate for play, while Suffolk’s “hidden gem”, the full length 9-hole Forest course, is suitable for all standards.
Southwold A fun but tricky 9 hole course on the heath at Southwoldvirtually all year round with greens that have received much praise, and are widely regarded as amongst the best in East Anglia. The course is located only 5 minutes from the town, but the experience of playing at Southwold is only the beginning, with so many sights and things to do on this wonderful part of the Suffolk Heritage Coast.
