KEEP SAFE

We hope you have a very happy and safe holiday stay.

There are  one or two things to draw your attention to. 

• First Aid

You can find a first aid kit under the bench seats in the dining area. If you do need something then please could you leave a note for the housekeeper when you leave to ensure that it is replaced.

• Mind your head!

We have a few quirky and interesting roof areas in the bedrooms so please mind you don't bang your head!

• Upstairs windows

​The upstairs windows are either locked or on an opening constraint. Please keep these locked to prevent risk of falls. In emergencies a window key can be found just to the side at the top of the window.

• ​Blinds

We have a number of roller blinds in the cottage each with a secured blind pull, safety catch and warning. If you find any that are not secured then please do get in touch with Suffolk Secrets immediately.

• In the garden

Outside boiler to the right of the garden marked with warning signs. Please make sure that nothing is put on top of the boiler e.g. washing, rubbish etc.

Outside gas canisters to the left of the garden ( chained and marked)

Outside oil tank at the end of the garden (should be locked)

Buildingwork  next door- There should be a perimeter fence around the site and warning signs. 

The hanging garden chair is great fun. It is not suitable though for use as a swing and children need to be suprevised at all times. - Feel free to remove the hanging seat if you are concerned.

• Stairs

Stairs always represent a risk, particularly to children. A stair gate is provided for you to fit. Please ensure that you follow the instructions provided and fit it securely. You can find the instructions - HERE

• Fire

  The property has smoke, heat and Carbon monoxide monitors and alarms for your protection.

•  

  Wood Burner

  ​Please feel free to use the woodburner. Instructions are provided. A heat retardant glove is also provided for use in opening the burner and inserting logs.

   

• Tripping risks

  ​​Rugs have anti-slip backs. Please make sure all cables, particularly for lamps are kept away from walking areas.

  Slipping in baths and showers.

  Please ensure that you use the slip mats provided in the bathroom and wetroom.

   

• Heating Room

  ​​Please keep the heating room ( off the right hand room) locked. If you need to alter the heating timer then you can find a key in the key cabinet at the top of the kitchen store cupboard.
